Got a Question?

Here's what people usually ask when they discover CreditStacks

CreditStacks is a prime Mastercard tailor-made for individuals just like you – high-earning, quality employees, with no local U.S. credit history¹. Most financial products and offerings including eligibility for a credit card, loan, or mortgage require an established credit history. CreditStacks relieves the burden of starting your professional journey in the U.S. with little or no credit history. With a high credit limit ($5,000) and the best-in-class terms, CreditStacks allows you to begin building great credit as soon as you start your new job in the US.

Yes. You can apply without an SSN and with little or no U.S. credit history. You will need to provide your passport, visa information and proof of U.S. employment. After you obtain your SSN, you will be required to provide it within 60 days of card activation.

Applicants who have been living in the US for one year or more are required to provide SSN at time of application and will undergo a credit check.

Reporting your credit activity to the credit bureaus is one of the ways CreditStacks helps you build your credit score.

By using CreditStacks' credit limit ($5,000) and making all payments by your due date, you can rapidly start building your credit score. We report your credit utilization to the three main credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, so that that other credit suppliers (banks, lenders, etc.) can quickly learn that you are a strong and credible customer. CreditStacks will also provide you with guidelines, recommendations, and best practices to help you build credit with ease.

CreditStacks will report your credit activity, whether positive and negative, to the credit bureaus.
On-time payments are a critical aspect of building your credit score. To help ensure that your reports are positive, the CreditStacks app allows you customize automatic payments several different ways.

We are not your typical credit card company. At CreditStacks we do things differently. We know you are more than just your credit score, which is why we use alternative methods of credit assessment. As such, we do not currently run any hard inquiries with the credit bureaus for applicants who are new to the country. We know that as a newcomer to credit in the U.S., you lack the credit history required by most banks for a credit card, which is why we use our proprietary underwriting procedures to look at you as the person you are (current employment, etc), not just as a credit score. However, if you have been living in the US for more than one year at the time of application, please be advised that we may indeed run an inquiry with the credit bureaus.

Yes! One of the CreditStacks’ most exciting features is that we will process your application even before you start your new job in the US. If you are accepted, your CreditStacks Mastercard will be waiting on your desk on day one.

Whether you are relocating to the U.S. or fresh out of college, you can apply up to 60 days before you start your new job in the U.S.

Yes. If you do not yet have your U.S. visa stamped in your passport during your application process, you can still apply by simply uploading your completed I-797 form.

If you are a US permanent resident (“green card” holder) or a US citizen, you may also be eligible to become a CreditStacks cardholder, if you meet our underwriting criteria.

We don’t believe prime customers should be charged high fees for using their credit card, which is why our card carries no annual fees³. As long as you pay your balance on time, you won't run into any interest or surprise fees either.

Yes. Even though you already have a U.S. bank account, your bank still may not be able to offer you a prime-grade credit card because you lack local credit history. Instead, they may offer you a debit card (which doesn't help build your credit) or secured credit card with a low credit limit. CreditStacks offers an independent credit card account with the ability to pay your balance using your existing bank account.

Yes. The CreditStacks credit card is completely compatible with Google Pay or Apple Pay. Simply add your CreditStacks card to your digital wallet and enjoy effortless payment and total peace of mind knowing your credit card number is never transferred – no additional app needed to download.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but for security reasons, we prefer to ship your card to a verified US work address. If extenuating circumstances arise and you cannot receive your card to your provided work address, you will be asked to provide proof of your U.S. residence in the form of a utility bill or government-issued document.

Yes. There are no foreign transaction fees³ and the CreditStacks card is accepted everywhere Mastercard is. Feel free to get swiping across the globe!

We are working towards launching an extension to our program which will allow our customers to add an authorized user to their account. Unfortunately, we still cannot provide an ETA for when this extension will be launched. If someone you know is interested in becoming a CreditStacks cardholder, we invite them to complete our online application.

We know how important your privacy and security are. We protect all our users' information with the utmost security measures. Rest assured that all documents uploaded are encrypted, and all data is safely stored.

If you’re already in the U.S. or moving in the upcoming 10 days, your card will be shipped in 1-2 business days post-approval. It will be shipped to you via USPS Priority Mail, which generally takes 2-3 business days. Once your card is shipped, you will receive an email containing its USPS Priority Mail tracking number.

If your expected move date is more than 10 days away, you will be notified 10 days prior to your expected move date prompting you to confirm your shipping address. Please note that cards can only be shipped to a valid U.S. address and can only be activated from within the United States.
